Chocolate Making Courses
Outline for teaching courses for people who want to know how to make truffles, bars etc:
A series of 3 x 3hour classes with Beginner, Intermediate & More Advanced only £65 each or £175 for all three classes.
The chocolate truffle course is held in the comfortable surroundings of Black Mountain Chocolates in Crickhowell Powys and covers the following topics:
- Introduction to chocolate truffle making
- Why learn about chocolate
- What is ganache, enrobing, strickling
- Quality of chocolate
- Tempering
- Hand rolling ganache - piping ganache
- Enrobing and detailing
- Use of dipping forks
- How to use chocolate efficiently
- Guidelines for storing chocolate
- Mouthfeel and cocoa butter
- Chocolate moulding techniques
The chocolate making course Includes all manuals, chocolate supplies, equipment, one on one instruction, diploma and much more.
Courses are maximum six people and minimum 4.
